ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT BI LINGUAL PART TIME
Objectives of the position: The Administrative Assistant is a Spanish bi lingual position that assists the Executive Director in administrative tasks as directed and bridges the gap in language barriers.Reports to: Executive Director
Status: Part-time 20 hours, 4 days a week
Pay: $18.00 per hour starting
Ministry Purpose: This position plays a significant role in achieving the center’s religious mission and, thus, has a ministry purpose. Every staff member and volunteer shall serve this purpose in their job and, in doing so, be in an active ministry position with the center
QUALIFICATIONS:
Can provide a Social Security number to work in the US and can pass a background check.
Religious:
Agrees with and abides by the center’s statement of faith, mission statement, and code of Christian conduct
Expresses a sincere desire to reach and help at-risk patients considering abortion
Believes in the sanctity of all human life from the moment of conception through natural death.
Has a sincere, mature faith and can competently share the gospel 5.
Active member of a local church
Exhibits strong interpersonal, spiritual, and administrative skills, takes initiative, and is flexible
RESPONSIBILITIES
Religious:
1. Upholds the center’s policies and procedures, especially the religious principles in the statement of faith and the code of Christian conduct
2. Supports the religious mission of the center and regularly encourages the spiritual growth of staff, volunteers, clients, and supporters
3. Reinforces the humanity and value of the unborn child with patients, their guests, staff, and others
4. Shares the gospel of Jesus Christ with clients/patients and prays with them, as appropriate
5. Provides spiritual guidance to staff, volunteers, and clients/patients
6. Participates in shared prayer and/or devotions regularly
OTHER:
1. Possess excellent people skills, through both verbal and written communication
2. Have at least one year volunteering in a relevant field, or related experience
3. Intermediate computer skills
4. Reliable transportation
Essential Functions:
•Support the administrative needs of the Executive Director •Great client service and excellent bilingual (Spanish) communication skills • Ability to interface maintaining highest confidentiality with clients, donors, and community partners • Assists in creating and posting on social media platforms •Ability to think and respond quickly and factually, answering questions/concerns from walk-ins or phone calls regarding services •Participate in fundraising event planning and execution •Assist with creating, writing, publishing, and/or maintaining marketing materials, newsletters, and donor correspondence •Provide routine clerical and administrative duties, such as donor data entry, receipting and mailings •Answers calls and texts to the center as directed •Attend staff trainings/retreats and other events •Assist with fundraising and community events as required •Light office cleaning as needed •Assist with special projects
